HR Business Partners in the Public Sector
28th June 2007, London
Many HR issues are unique to the Public Sector and never before has the public sector been under such a glaring spotlight, relentless pressure to perform and constantly subjected to change. It is against this background that the need for a more effective, sophisticated and strategic HR function, based on the HR Business Partner Model and an emerging Human Capital Management framework, has become abundantly clear. Most of the challenges facing the public sector are human resource challenges of productivity, service delivery and greater value and all the while this has to be within a growing and complex set of constraints introduced by both legislation and a widely accepted need to manage the rights, welfare and development of all employees.
