Shared Services in the Back Office – Following the Route Map

A session in the form of a case study of the CCC/NCC partnership and will cover the process from the first idea of sharing services through to the establishment of the programme and progress so far.

Colin will cover the DCLG's excellent business improvement package and how it can be used by LAs to help them with Shared Services projects.

The HMPS shared services centre is live and growing. Over the next year it will look after 48,000 prison staff and is in the process of bringing in other departments form the Home Office to use its services, including HR, Finance and procurement.  Julian will discuss how this is ambitious and fascinating project is being rolled out.
